Concept of Operations DevelopmentPATS CONOPS development is the primary element linking OEM technology capabilities to customer’s objectives. PATS’s combined background in managing operations coupled with in-depth technology experience provides our customers with the capability to properly plan the deployment and implementation of security technologies. Proper planning for the integration of systems with existing operations and current policies and procedures ensures that technology based security screening systems perform to their fullest capability and that the end use customer receives maximum benefit. Technology based security systems may be used on a fixed facility as part of an overall facility security plan, or they may be used at random checkpoints on mobile platforms. Each system configuration and employment objective comes with unique challenges for installation, training and operation. Factors considered during CONOPS development include: - Technology capabilities and limitations
- Personnel manning requirements
- Integration with seaport/land border operations
- Coordination with host nation customs and law enforcement officials
- Technical support requirements and operator level maintenance
- Power requirements or available fuels
- Training requirements
PATS’s seasoned operations and technology professionals work directly with the OEM and the end use customer to ensure that expectations for system performance and reliability are fully understood. Developing a comprehensive deployment and implementation plan ensures that the end use customer can quickly integrate security screening technologies with current cargo operations providing them with an additional tool to enhance facility security and meet regulatory requirements.
